About Re-Heckled,
Throughout the 1950’s Aldrich Beiberhaus was holed up in his Munich apartment creating fantastical soundscapes that would have had Joe Meek running for his money … had anyone been paying attention at the time. His use of tape-collage and found-sounds to create rhythmic beats pre-dates hiphop by 25 years. Mental Illness and poverty eventual led the composer to abandon his ambitious compositions and hopes for wider recognition in order to open a stationary shop called Surprise Supplies, which remains open to this day.
His cult audience has been growing steadily ever since the 1992 re-release of his 1958 tape-collage soundtrack for the camp classic film Cave Men From Outer Space which has been cited as a major influence by many crate - digging contemporary artists such as the Flaming Lips and Doldrums.
We are proud to present Brooklyn heavy weight producer ARCHEAOPTERYXXXX’s lasted record, Re-Heckled Slogans for the 21st Centipede Wunderkid, which was made using only samples from Beiberhaus’ works. Never worry about anyone knowing anything more obscure than you anymore.
